Trendy Tuesday: Chokers

Rumi Neely, creator of these awesome necklaces!

Last Summer tattoo chokers became big again... remember those from the 80's? Now this year dainty chokers and thick band chokers are in. Just another small homage to the 80's.

I Got Stripes

Like the famous Johnny Cash song goes, I got stripes. And hey look, I'm in front of a jail too. These pants may or may not slightly resemble jail stripes, but they are sure comfy! Paired with the right thing, striped pants can look cool and they elongate your legs too!

Cobalt Culottes

OOTD

Cheers to the weekend! Time for a little relaxation, and me time. What better way to do that than throw on a cute outfit and head out to explore and get some lunch. While in San Juan Batista, it is an absolute must to go to Jardin's. It is a beautiful garden location to eat some great Mexican food. They have mini chimichanga's, that are so good. I am a sucker for some good lunch and a walk around town on a nice day!

Casual Cool

Hello, I am back from the dead! Computer problems solved, aka my computer is dead and I had to buy a new one. Nevertheless, I am back and ready to be a mean blogging machine. Today is a very laid back transitional fall outfit! If it is still somewhat warm where you live, this is a nice outfit to wear when it isn't too hot, but still a little cold.

Summertime Sadness

Hello everyone! I just wanted to do a quick message on here and say that I was going to do a post on Saturday, but my laptop died Friday night. So, I have been unable to get it to come back on and I am going to have to buy a new one. Bloggers out there will know that our lives are on our computers. Thankfully, I backup my hard drive. Of course this has to happen 3 days before school starts, and I have an online class *sigh*.  Also found that someone had hit my car and didn't let me know. I have to just keep a positive attitude and not let these issues get me down.

I will have a post up as soon as possible, sorry for the inconvenience :(  Trying to write from my phone is not as easy as my computer.

For now, here is a quick outfit I wore to run errands and go out to lunch. I needed something to cheer me up and I needed to get a new computer (thanks for the help Mom and Dad) It was a pretty California day, warm outside, with a nice ocean breeze. A perfect day by my standards, hopefully you are having a great week so far!

Flea Market Style

Long time no post! Hi everyone... Sorry I'm a horrible blogger sometimes. I've been a busy bee planning outfits and maybe even a possible video look book!

Anyways happy Sunday, I got up and went to the local flea market we have and it was sooooo muggy. It felt like Florida instead of California. So I was a little hot in this outfit, but it was just bearable enough.

New Classic

OOTD Casual

Happy hump day everyone! It has been beautiful weather here in nor cal. I love being able to wear the same outfit all day and not have to switch because the weather can't make up its mind (much like me when I am trying to choose an outfit in the first place!) Today the weather is 73 degrees but humid, so it felt like 75. I love when it is warm, but still a nice ocean breeze.

Blissful days

I have always said that if I didn't like dressing up so much, I would probably be a recluse and wear sweatpants all day. Luckily they made cute but comfy harem pants, palazzo pants, and jeggings. Just recently I got these super cute harem style pants from Bliss Boutique. Luckily, they are going to be putting up an online site very soon at bebeautifulinbliss.com. You will now be able to buy some of the cute things that I wear too!

Keep it Simple

As I have gotten older, I find myself dressing more minimalistic and classic. I am all about buying classic pieces and pairing them with bolder pieces or simple too. With this outfit I paired a simple white collared shirt and dark denim. Throwing this beautiful Lovestitch cardigan over it added a slightly different look to this classic outfit.

Frolicking in Fringe

The first weekend of Coachella may be wrapping up, now onto weekend 2. There are also so many more festivals coming up. I got this kimono a couple years ago and I just love the embroidering along the front. For this festival look I did white on white, which has become something I love pairing together. This is one of my favorite dresses because it is light and feminine. I wore this dress last year to the One Direction concert at the Rose bowl when it was 100+ degrees.

Bad to the Bone

Stylebypeyton

So right before I went on spring break I picked up this amazing biker jacket vest at Target! It was $30 and it is perfect for every season! Especially when it is warmer and you still want to wear your leather jacket, but you need to be cool enough. The solution is this vest! It is made from a nice jersey material and it is a charcoal grey color. I've worn it with just a plain long sleeve under it and it looks great, but for this outfit I paired it with a mock neck sweater tank.

Sound of Music

Stylebypeyton

The hills are definitely alive with the sound of music. Since it is music festival season, picking out the right outfit is a must. This sweater is perfect for a concert because it is easy to throw on over just about anything and looks put together. It's also airy and a perfect cover up for the pool too.

Recently I have been searching for the perfect statement necklace that had some color in it. And when it's spring and summer I love to incorporate boho pieces in my wardrobe. I got this perfect necklace that has multi-colored strings on it. Since I hardly ever wear color, this necklace is the nice pop of color that I need. You can get this amazing necklace at Bliss Boutique. Check out their instagram @Bliss_Boutique to see more amazing pieces.

I kept this look pretty simple with a LBD and black booties to bring it all together. And of course I am wearing my cat eye sunnies that I always wear because they are perfect.

Hopefully this has given you some inspo for festivals, events, lunch, or even shopping!

Desert Flower

Stylebypeyton

We all know we are going to see all the Coachella posts on insta. Sadly I have never been to Coachella, or any music festival for that matter. I always like to imagine what outfits I would wear for events like this. Since it's usually going to be hot, wearing something light and breezy will make you feel more comfortable.
