Frolicking in Fringe
The first weekend of Coachella may be wrapping up, now onto weekend 2. There are also so many more festivals coming up. I got this kimono a couple years ago and I just love the embroidering along the front. For this festival look I did white on white, which has become something I love pairing together. This is one of my favorite dresses because it is light and feminine. I wore this dress last year to the One Direction concert at the Rose bowl when it was 100+ degrees.

Sound of Music
Recently I have been searching for the perfect statement necklace that had some color in it. And when it's spring and summer I love to incorporate boho pieces in my wardrobe. I got this perfect necklace that has multi-colored strings on it. Since I hardly ever wear color, this necklace is the nice pop of color that I need. You can get this amazing necklace at Bliss Boutique. Check out their instagram @Bliss_Boutique to see more amazing pieces.
I kept this look pretty simple with a LBD and black booties to bring it all together. And of course I am wearing my cat eye sunnies that I always wear because they are perfect.
Hopefully this has given you some inspo for festivals, events, lunch, or even shopping!

Desert Flower
We all know we are going to see all the Coachella posts on insta. Sadly I have never been to Coachella, or any music festival for that matter. I always like to imagine what outfits I would wear for events like this. Since it's usually going to be hot, wearing something light and breezy will make you feel more comfortable.

Coachella look 3

Another must for musical festivals are fun sunnies. Heart shaped are cute and girly, floral cat eyes are a little edgy, and palm tree sunnies just scream festival. The last must is a camera, or two maybe. When you go on cool adventures always make sure to take tons of pictures, especially if you have a cute outfit on.

For this look I have paired a red floral dress and some pebbled Acne boots. Instead of a flower crown, I think wearing a blingy headband can add some fanciness to an outfit. Also wearing a fanny pack can be easier to help ensure you have all your essentials right where they need to be.

With Coachella coming up, these are some outfit inspirations. I would wear outfits like these: boho, breezy, and classic. Festivals are a time to play around with your wardrobe. Wardrobe essentials for me would include breezy cotton, and lightweight fabrics. One year I will be able to go to a cool musical festival.

Vintage Vest
Finding cool places to shoot is just as much fun as picking out the outfit. Location creates a sense of completion of an outfit. I love driving around looking for cool places where I live and I saw this old roller derby rink that had the best chippy painted walls that were nice and bright. Abandoned buildings are the coolest because I love that vintage feel. I also just really appreciate being outdoors and getting to explore around my beautiful town!

Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.
Of course quoting The Devil Wears Prada is a must in spring. I must say that this outfit is a dream outfit of mine. The main piece of this is the beautiful Manish Arora skirt that is embroidered with beads and beautiful roses. I have also been lusting over these Isabel Marant lace up flats. They are cute with skirts, culottes, shorts, and dresses. They add a nice dressed up touch to any outfit. One day I will be able to buy pieces like these and be able to put together quirky outfits like this. For now,I will stick to making sets like these, dreaming about awesome outfits, and watching the Devil Wears Prada.

Vintage Fashion
Going to garage sales is like an addiction now. I have been able to find the best clothing items that are vintage and even some good fashion books. The best part is that they are all very good prices!
First, is the black and gold vest. As soon as I saw this vest I was drawn towards it. It may look like I should have a monkey on my shoulder, but it is the cutest vest ever! It is made of a crushed velour, and has gold detail around the front, arms, and bottom.

Deals and Steals- My vintage and new finds!
Last Friday I went to a garage sale that had closed out an estate. I had seen that they would have a lot of designer goods there and I am one of those people who loves name brands, but not the price they cost. I am quite thrifty and love a good steal. But who doesn't?? I had gone not really expecting to find anything that good, maybe some props for future flatlays. What I got was even better!
First thing my mom and I found was an old alabaster lamp, that we got for a steal at $5. Then I found the fuzzy vanity chair hidden away under a table, that we got for $20. The chair is beyond perfect, as that is the theme of my next room. I want to go Hollywood glam, meets minimalistic color scheme. All neutral; beige, gold, brown, and soft pinks.
The mirror, albeit too thin to actually use, would be a perfect piece to use on a table! This we also got at a steal of $5. You can place flowers on it, candles, it would be a cute centerpiece. The next absolutely amazing purchase was the Dolce & Gabbana heels. These shoes retail at about $500, I got them for $60. These are my first pair of designer shoes, and they had never been worn before! I'm so excited to wear these out soon.
The last items, the guy gave us for free! The scarf is 100% cashmere, the two sunglasses, and some rings. Overall I was extremely happy with these finds. Plus, it was apparently my day of good finds. When I went to Anthropologie to buy a mug, I also found a shaggy vest for $9.95, (yes, I said $9.95!) and some coated black Paige denim for $59.95. The vest was originally $148, and the jeans were $200 originally.
These two items look so cute together, with just a white, or taupe t-shirt underneath and a nice chunky statement necklace, or if you like simple necklaces, just layer some up!
It was a great day of deals and steals! Always check garage sales and local thrift shops, you never know what treasures there are!
Let me know what great finds you have gotten recently or in the past!
Xoxo -Peyton
